Knowledge Doesn’t Save

Christ said, “If you do not become like children, you cannot be my disciples” (Matthew 18:3). Children receive what they’re taught, what they’re shown, what they hear. They’re not experts, so they’re willing to listen and chew on the word – and not immediately spit it out. How many experts do you know that you can come to and they will receive you in the same way? Christ came to the “experts” in His Word, the Word that spoke of Christ, and they told Him to go away. Knowledge is a terrible thing – if it’s from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil!

Everything works out for the good

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 Those who love God, everything works out for good, this is the faith that we need to grow in. If you love God, this is assurance that no matter what you are going through – this is for your good! If you look at your life and all the things that happen in your life, all these things Together – lead you to good, which is love and God Himself. Things by themselves don’t have that affect. But if you put them all together, it’s a big plan that we sometimes do not see or understand.

Love for the Truth Overcomes Worries

“The end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned.” (1 Timothy 1:5) Through Calvary, we have the opportunity to be Alive for God, to Love Him, naturally, not because we have to (by the law), but from within. Just like we naturally loved this world and no one had to teach us to love it, in God the same ability was born to naturally love the Truth and God. No matter what happens through life, Love God, Love His Truth – and everything will be okay! That is the secret “ingredient” in our lives!

Sealed in Christ

“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, we were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14 Paul is reminding that we have been sealed with His Spirit at the time when we have believed, at the moment we accepted the faith. The plan was already known to the Father, that we would hear and receive the Word. This is all not for our glory, or for the glory of who said the words, but it is for the glory of His Son Jesus Christ. That was the plan of God. Those that partake of this plan, are a part of His Glory, the glory of Jesus Christ.

Hope of Gentiles

All of us are Gentiles. We are the descendants of people who did not believe in God from the time of the creation. What hope was there for us in the Old Testament and what hope is there for us today? Today, we have an opportunity to become part of a nation, part of a bloodline that we had no part in at all! We have become the descendants of Abraham by faith!

Life and Death

What does it mean to be dead for God? What does it mean to be alive for God? “Now the end of the commandment is charity (love) out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: from which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.” (1 Timothy 1:5-7) The spiritual world exists and we are all spiritual beings. The spiritual man, before having known Christ, before having gone through the Cross, was dead for God. We were all born dead for God when we came into existence.

Reject Yourself

There will not be anyone in Heaven who did NOT reject himself. How can you be born again without rejecting yourself and experiencing the Cross? Isn’t that the teaching of Jesus Christ? If you cannot reject yourself, you are not worthy of Him. If you cannot go against yourself, how can you lay your life for others?

New Creature in Christ

If a person was doing drugs all his life and suddenly heard a message of another way of living, where he decided to quit doing drugs, although he may still have urges, does he consider himself a drug addict? Does that mean he is still a drug addict? How can he become a drug addict? If he starts doing it again, but as long as he chose the new life and he stays in it, over time, those things fall away. So when does he become free, not a drug addict? Is it later, or is it right away?
Now apply this to the spiritual. If you have chosen to be crucified, count yourself dead and a new being, because the Bible says so!
