The devil’s greatest success is in the fact that he is able to hide himself so well that no one can find him. And how can you battle with the enemy if you don’t know his location? Even though Christ said: “You are of your father the devil” and “out of the heart come evil thoughts…” and “death spread to all men…” in other words, the bible gives a clear indication that the devil is inside the person, in the person’s heart! But people still don’t want to believe this. The only thing that they agree to is that the body is sinful; but what exactly is sinful? Is it the blood that became sinful? Or what became sinful? Isn’t the body sinful because the master of the body (i.e. the one who lives in the body) is sinful? Because sin is a spiritual phenomenon! And this is where confusion occurs. People can’t imagine that devil lives in the heart, because the person after all remains an intelligent being, who is compassionate, able to love, can be sympathetic and merciful. All of this is in the soul, it is from the good word that has always sounded and continues to sound in this world. But the fact that in the spirit a person is struck by death, and that the spirit of the person becomes one with the devil, remains a mystery. And this is the law of sin and death.
Illusions – they are all around us, on television, on social media, in photography, etc. But it is easier to see the illusions around us rather than the illusions in us. Are you living by an illusion? Are you day dreaming?
The first illusion was in the Garden of Eden – a lie that the serpent first fed to Eve.
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden: but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:1-5
Since then, this world formed and is composed of nothing but illusions, in other words, lies. The evil one spoon feeds people with lies. Lies about happiness, lies about beauty, lies about life, and lies about death!
It is exactly this lie/illusion that results in where you put your time and effort in, your worries, your thoughts! People are walking around not realizing they are day dreaming – living by an illusion – driven by an illusion!
When I get married and have a family – then I will have true happiness and be content.
When my children get older – then I can have peace and be truly happy.
When I get financially stable – then I will be content and live happy.
When I go some where nice – that is true happiness.
But just like a dream – it passes quickly and a person is once again left feeling the same… feeling discontent, empty, unsatisfied.
Wake up, before it’s not too late, stop day dreaming, stop living a lie! Reality exists! Reality is Real! Why does reality tend to hit us only during tough times, during times of loss or hardship? Then back to living illusions a person goes!
Your beauty will pass, your fame will pass, your children will grow up and move on to their own lives. And whether you like it or not, you will pass too!
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for a new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 2 Peter 3:10-14
