"For in many things we offend all..." (James 3:2) With the peace of God,…
Of His own will begat He us with the Word of Truth,
that we should be a kind of firstfruits
of His creatures. James 1:18 KJV
How are we to understand: “Begat us”? How was this birth from God accomplished? Undoubtedly a comparison is made with a person’s birth into this world, that is, the birth of a human infant in the flesh. Otherwise, how can a person reason/discuss about birth? But knowing and understanding the birth of children in the flesh, one can reason about Spiritual birth. The comparison, regarding Spiritual birth with the birth in the flesh, is taken from what our Lord Jesus Christ said when He spoke about the birth with Nicodemus: “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:6 KJV). The Lord laid a clear, unshakable foundation for Nicodemus: “…except a man be born again (of water and of the Spirit), he cannot see the Kingdom of God (he cannot enter into It)” (John 3:3, 5 KJV). On the basis of this doctrine of the Lord Jesus Christ, birth from God is absolutely necessary to have the heritage, to have a place in the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, which is incorruptible, everlasting, eternal, unshakable, in which a person will live eternally! (1 Peter 1:11 = Hebrews 12:28-29 KJV)! Born of the flesh, and according to the flesh, a person is (exists), he has never yet been on earth, but now he is and he is not going anywhere, unless he be destroyed, then he will no longer be on earth.
God, of His own will, begat us by the Word of Truth; it was not the person who willed and was born, but God willed, just like in the flesh: it was not the person who willed and was born, but a father wanted – a husband: “of the will of the flesh…of the will of man” (John 1:13 KJV). But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12-13 KJV).
Just as being born in the flesh – the person has never existed on earth, the same from God – born of God, a New Creation in Christ appeared, which previously had never been, this is a New Creature, the old has died; if the old creature, according to Adam, does not die, a new Creature in Christ and by Christ cannot appear. Hence it is very important to understand the birth from God, and this is only possible in the Precious Faith, according to the Truth of our God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Which alone bestows the partaking of the Divine Nature, Which is Immortality (2 Peter 1:1-4 KJV).
God begat us – how? How does God birth (create)? How is being born of God accomplished? He begat us by the Word of Truth, that is, all is accomplished by the Word, Which is the imperishable living Word of God, Which will never pass, It carries in Itself the mystery of Immortality, as the doctrine of the Lord Jesus Christ teaches; taught or preached by the Apostles of the Lord, who did not follow cunningly devised fables, but they were with Him all the days of His life on earth, and saw His Glory from God (1 Peter 1:23-25 = 2 Peter 1:16-18, Ephesians 2:20-22 KJV)!
The Word of Truth is the incorruptible seed of God …
The Word of Truth: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made” (John 1:1-2 KJV)! The Word became flesh and dwelt among us (the Apostles whom He had chosen to follow and to be with Him everywhere day and night: Mark 3:13-19; Acts 1:21-26 KJV) full of grace and Truth, and we saw His Glory; The Glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father… For the law was given through Moses; but grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; the Only Begotten Son, Who is in the bosom of the Father, He had declared (John 1:14-18 KJV), God to the people; “he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father” (John 14:9 KJV).
In this way, the Word that was with God and was God, took on Flesh and Blood, became a Man and the Son of God according to the Word, as it is written: “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil” (Hebrews 2:14 KJV). Jesus Christ – the Son of God and Son of Man, in One Person (Matthew 25:31 KJV), the Savior of all mankind (Luke 2:11 = John 3:16-17 KJV), came into this world, sent by God (John 8:42 KJV), to proclaim grace and Truth for the salvation of all those who believe in this doctrine, from eternal perdition in the dark because of sin and evil in people. Jesus Christ, Himself being the Truth – the Word became flesh (John 14:6 KJV), proclaimed His doctrine throughout the world, which is called the Gospel (good news), or the teaching of Jesus Christ (John 7:16 = 2 John verse 9 KJV). The teaching of the Lord Christ is sound doctrine (2 Timothy 1:13 KJV); It is the Word of Truth (2 Timothy 2:15, 19 KJV); It is the Light to this world for the salvation of believers; and is judgment for all non-believers, to perdition (John 12:46-50 KJV). The teaching of Jesus Christ is the Word from God, the Word of Truth, in Him there is no falsehood, for God is the Light and in Him there is no darkness; and a “Sanctify them through thy Truth; Thy Word is Truth.” (1 John 1:5 = John 17:17 KJV). Precisely this Word of Truth, Apostle Paul exhorts Timothy, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth” (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV).
This Word of Truth is the incorruptible seed of God, Living, enduring for ever: “Being born again (born), not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” (1 Peter 1:23 KJV) – by this Seed of His, of His own will He begat us! – With this I began my letter.
The Word of Truth touches the ears; the person begins to hear …
In what way does the Living, incorruptible Seed of God give birth (create)? How does this Seed of God enter a person, and what does It create (give birth to) in a person? – The Word enters into a person through faith: “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (Romans 10:17 KJV). God’s Word makes It’s way to a person’s hearing. People do not want to hear the Word of God, they perceive that which is of the Holy Spirit – the Spirit of God, as madness, and cannot comprehend (1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV). Therefore, only he who is foreknown and predestined by God before the creation of the universe will hear (Ephesians 1:4-5 = 2 Timothy 1:9 = Romans 8:29-30 KJV). To them God opens the hearing and they begin to hear the Word of Truth – and this is: He willed; no one, ever, comes to God on his own. The person does not want to; he comes only because God foreknew and predestined, He willed, opened his ears and the person came! The Word of Truth touches the ears (hearing), the person begins to hear – faith is born! A faith is born by which the person had never previously believed; up until this point, the person also believed, for no person on earth can live without faith; faith, of any person, is the engine of his life, therefore there is no person without faith, he absolutely believes, but his faith is earthly, devilish (James 3:14-15 KJV). In this earthly world there is nothing else in people other than lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life (1 John 2:15-17KJV). Where there is pride, there is certainly jealousy and strife; where there is pride, there is absolutely lust of the flesh and lust of the eyes; for pride is the spirit of the devil, and from his effect – appear the devilish fruits, meaning, any false understanding from a false faith. All this is not of God, but a product of this world; because of all this, God has determined to destroy the Universe, created by Him, by fire for the destruction of all ungodly people (2 Peter 3:7, 10-14 KJV).
Holiness = Eternal Life …
When the New Faith is born in a person, which he had never known, nor heard and did not understand, immediately he has a new mindset (new way of thinking), new reasoning, as previously never reasoned. As the person continues to believe by the New Faith, thoughts and reasoning become knowledge – the eyes of the heart open, which the person had not previously used, and if they were used, he did not at all understand what it is. There is a doctrine in the world: it is intuition, a sixth sense, which is located in the cerebellum – somewhere in the back of the head. In actuality though, there are eyes of the heart, spiritual eyes (Ephesians 1:17-18 KJV). The person begins to see and understand the Spiritual doctrine of the Gospel about the Mystery (Secret) of Eternal Life, that there is another, Spiritual world, which, has nothing in common with the earthly world, as the Lord said: “My kingdom is not of this world…” (John 18:36 KJV). And: “He said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He (the Son of God and Son of Man, Savior of the world), ye shall die in your sins!” (John 8:23-24 KJV). Continuing in the teaching of the Lord, the person begins to see more and more, learn the Truth, Which reveals the Mystery of sin – the law of sin and death (Romans 8:1-2 KJV). The person begins to know, what sin really is (John 16:8-9 KJV); that the Lord Jesus Christ came into this world – to destroy sin in the person (Hebrews 9:26 KJV); and the person learns, how to become free from sin, to become Holy, the result of Holiness – Eternal Life (John 8:31-36 = Romans 6:22-23 KJV).
New Faith, New thinking, New understanding …
When a person understands the Will of God and believes the Truth from God, that this whole earthly physical world lies in darkness, in sin, in evil (I emphasize: this whole earthly world, all of humanity in it, because they do not know God and His Will, because of the lusts and vile passions, through which all of humanity corrupt themselves (Jude verse 10 = Ephesians 4:18, 19, 22 KJV); and that for this reason the Lord God has determined to destroy the world with fire (2 Peter 3:7 KJV) – repentance comes; this person completely turns to God, calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, realizing that he is a sinner, as he is in this world, asking for mercy and to be forgiven, which he receives: forgiveness of all sins in the Blood of the Lord shed on the Cross, as the doctrine of the Lord Jesus Christ teaches: Romans 10:13 = Colossians 1:12-14 = Romans 3:23-25 = Hebrews 1:1-3! – this repentance shows that the conception of the New Creature, in the womb of the Church of Jesus Christ, took place; it happened when the person heard the Word of Truth, a New Faith was born in him, a New way of thinking, a New understanding – this the conception of a New Creation. Repentance shows that the fruit (fetus) of the New Creature has matured and is ready to be born; the New Creature is ready to appear, where the old has gone (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)! The complete birth is associated with the death of the old creature – of the old man according to Adam. Death of the old man was accomplished on the Cross with Christ; in Him, in Christ and with Christ, God crucified the whole world of mankind, meaning the fate of the world was determined by the crucifixion of the Lord (Galatians 6:14 KJV) – “Now is the judgment of this world” (John 12:31 KJV) – “He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that Light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than Light, because their deeds were (and are now) evil” (John 3:18, 19 KJV).
Therefore the believer believed in his death with Christ on the Cross: when Christ died on the Cross, I was put in Him by God and died with Him to this world; because Christ died for this world of lies and evil, and I in Him, died together with Him to this world of all unrighteousness, wickedness and evil; taken off the Cross, Christ was buried, I buried the old dead man with Him in the Baptism in water; Christ came to life and rose by the Spirit, and I came to life, rose with Him a New Creature in Christ, the old Adam, being crucified with Him, is no longer, he died and was buried, now EVERYTHING IS NEW – GLORY AND PRAISE THE LORD!
A New Creature, which previously never existed …
It is actually written: “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him!” (Romans 6:6-8 KJV). This shows that, having admitted oneself sinful, in perdition with this world, having turned to God, called upon the name of the Lord with repentance; – it is not already birth from Above, of God. The person received forgiveness of all sins, which is necessary for the birth, but it is not, yet, the appearance of a New Creature. The New Creature is ready to be born, but not yet born. If a person will remain in the position of a repented person and will not go on – he will remain in the old creature of Adam. A new creature in Christ cannot appear while the old creature of Adam is alive; death of the old man of Adam is necessary, and only then a New Creature in Christ Jesus rises, as it is written: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). Therefore, only through death of the old man with Christ on the Cross, a New Creature in Christ appears and the Holy Scripture is fulfilled: “The first man is of the earth, earthy; the Second Man is the Lord from Heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the Heavenly, such are they also that are Heavenly = …conformed to the image of his Son…” (1 Corinthians 15:47-48 = Romans 8:29 KJV)! – In this way the birth from God was accomplished, a New Creature in Christ has appeared, which never before has been; born in the person – first: the new faith, then a new thinking and a new mind, with a New understanding of all that is around a person in earthly life.
