Be our guest and join us for an afternoon of songs and worship presented by the Church of Charlotte.
Is it possible to be sin free? The Bible says: Yes!
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21)
“Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.” (Romans 6:18)
Watch this Video to find out what it means to be sinless.
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:13-17)
We as humans always think about something. Initially, when Adam and Eve were created, their thoughts were mostly about what to eat, or where to sleep. But a lot has changed since then. When man ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, their thoughts changed. Their way of thinking became full with evil intentions, with an evil heart. However, Jesus came with the opposite state, with a pure heart, completely different from Adam. Now we have a choice to obtain that same pure heart!
I recently got married, which was a big move in my life. Comparing it to how I lived before, it is a completely different experience. This is a good comparison to what Jesus wants from His Church. But how does this compare to His Church and what does Jesus want from us?
“Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity (love), which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in ONE BODY…” Colossians 3:12-15
Does my heart speak to me? If so, what does it say? What voice is inside of me? Is there a battle within?
The human body consists of blood, flesh, and bones. I think everyone understands what the body is. But where exactly does sin live? Does sin live in the body? The body is a vessel. Inside of this vessel, inside of the flesh, is a spiritual being!
Jesus said, “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” (Mark 7:21-23)
There was a major flood after the hurricane that hit Louisiana. What was the number one shortage then? Although there was water every where, people were short on water, because there was no clean water. That is how satan works. To flood out the truth and to flood out true knowledge, he filled the whole world with different teachings and denominations, so that the clean water is hidden and flooded. Who truly knows God today? What does it mean to know God’s word, to know the Cross?
I always found it interesting, why the Bible is split into two, why there is an Old Testament and a New Testament. Behind these testaments, stand a covenant. I like to think of these covenants as being a model for our relationship to God. In what position are we in relationship to God. It is important to understand these models and how they are different.
The days go by, the weeks, the months, the years.
And I can hear the clock is sharply ticking.
But in my heart, I feel that something’s missing,
I try to fill the void, to change my self.
I watch my words, control the thoughts, the fears.
They all consume my mind, my wishful thinking.
But in my core I sense that something’s missing.
Can anyone explain what’s wrong with me?
