Mortify your members

In order to set your minds on things from above, it is necessary to resurrect with Christ. Otherwise, it is not possible to think about something, where you do not exist! You must first get there. And we get (transfer) there, through this action: “For ye died… (ye are dead)”
That is, first is the death for this world and the consequence – the resurrection with Christ in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Further, verse five:
“Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry.” (Colossians 3:5)

That’s not fair!

How many times do we hear, think, or catch ourselves saying: “That’s not fair”?!

A less-productive employee gets a promotion. That’s not fair!
Someone gets a better deal on the same item you purchased. That’s not fair!
Someone gets a better test score, but didn’t even study. That’s not fair!
You get ill on a vacation trip while the rest of your friends don’t. That’s not fair!

And the list can go on and on! Although you may think you are saying this phrase to yourself or simply sharing with someone else – in reality – this phrase speaks against God!

All is vanity

I have a couple verses to share: Ecclesiastes 3: 1-9 “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and…

God’s Creation

Today I was taking a walk and noticed the sun, how beautifully it shines, brings light to the whole earth, a wonderful phenomenon - a fireball. It rises and it sets, then again it rises, the day begins, it brings…

Being free from the net of mistakes

”My eyes are ever toward the LORD, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net.”  (Psalm 25:15) I felt overwhelmed by random situations every day, especially with situations that did not fit into my schedule. Something always had…

An experience…

An experience... A person can experience so many things in this lifetime. Many hardships, troubles and sadness. You may even say that it's just part of life, because this is life. But  there is a completely different life! One that is…

You should be proud… or should you?

“You should be proud.” We hear this phrase a lot. But should we really be proud and have pride? Do we realize how serious it is to have pride in our hearts? Pride isn’t a light matter and shouldn’t be taken lightly! In James chapter 4, verse 6, we see that God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Scriptures show us that this world is composed of “the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life”, which “is not of the Father, but is of the world.” 1 John 2:16

Submit to the righteousness of God!

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. (Romans…

Man does not know his time…

Time is an interesting thing, phenomenon – you can’t touch it, grab it, stop it, slow it down, increase it, or speed it up. Every person is driven by time. We are constantly looking at the time, checking what time it is, either you have to be somewhere, do something, etc.

But what exactly is time? We know that God is outside of time. That time is an earthly phenomenon, for people, for us. When a person is born into this world, when he begins to breathe – time begins to exist for him! His time begins to “tick”, similar to how his heart begins to “beat.” You can almost picture people being walking clocks. And only God knows the “beginning” of a person’s time and the “end” of it.
