The Scripture teaches us to always rejoice and be found in joy. How can you possibly understand joy, if you have never experienced sadness? How can you possibly experience always being joyful, if you don’t realize that you were always sad. In fact, your state of constant sadness can be mistaken for joy.
“These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” John 15:11
