It is interesting how in James chapter 2 it is written that faith, without works, is dead. This shows that it is possible to have faith, but if the faith doesn’t have works (if the faith doesn’t work!), this faith is in vain, it is dead! Such serious words! So what kind of works should my faith have? If you are a serious believer, it is important to ask yourself – does my faith work? Does my faith give me eternal life?
Are you happy? If so, why are you happy and what makes you happy? Is your happiness earthly, of the world? Or do you have true, heavenly happiness?
Earthly happiness is dependent on the surrounding circumstances. It is passing, temporary, and deceiving! Heavenly happiness, on the other hand, is Eternal and True!
Today, I am filled to share about my happiness and why I am happy! I am happy not because I have a family, a home, children, good food to eat, clothing. Plenty of people have all those things, yet aren’t happy! My happiness isn’t dependent on what I have -or- what I don’t have. It isn’t dependent on where I go -or- where I don’t go. My happiness is just IS – because Christ Himself – True Happiness – entered into my heart and dwells there! This happiness is real, eternal, doesn’t depend on any surrounding circumstances, and won’t deceive you! This happiness is the Kingdom of God that I experience within myself! I am happy because I am saved, justified, holy, righteous, sin-free, a child of God!
For the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. (Romans 14:17)
Happy is that people, whose God is the Lord. (Psalm 144:15)
Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. (Job 5:17)
